Harmony Day- Tuesday, 21 March
On Monday, 13 March, a group of Vietnamese
performers came to Maylands to put on a mini show to
commence our Harmony Week celebrations. The
performers are volunteers from the Western Australia
Vietnamese Cultural Group & WA Vietnamese Women's
Association. These two non-profit organisations are
newly established having only been in existence for
two years.
The Vietnamese Cultural Group promotes Vietnamese
culture including visual arts, performances, and
cuisine. The Women's Association mainly focuses on
assisting women, especially new immigrants who need
support to adapt to a new life in Australia.
I would like to thank the following individuals for their
support on the day:
Hong Jackson: Vice-president
Annie Tran: Vietnamese Traditional Dance Teacher
Emma Hanh Ma: Committee member
Bella Hang Nguyen: Committee member
Nier Nguyen: WAAPA student
Next Tuesday, 21 March (Monday, 20 March for Kindy
A, C and E) our school will celebrate Harmony Day.
