Year 6 Camp

We had a reasonably pleasant conditions for the Year 6 camp last week. Even though we got off to a somewhat rocky start with several students in S2 coming down with gastro over the weekend, and not
being well enough to come down with us on the Monday morning, most were able to join us throughout the course of the week.

Despite this, the Year 6 students really enjoyed the opportunity to kayak at Lane Pool Reserve, abseil down a 10m tower, complete a milk crate climb, undertake a mountain bike course, ride a flying fox and take an evening walk on a pitch-black night through the state forest to name a few of the activities undertaken over the course of the week. Furthermore, for the first time ever in over 11 years of attending camps, we had three groups construct a raft from plastic barrels, ropes and planks that the students were able to row across the dam.

Well done to the groups involved. I would like to thank Miss Wyatt for her outstanding organisation and Ms Turvey, Miss Schuhkraft, Mrs Vinciullo and Mr Sollis, for giving of their time to accompany the students on camp. I'm certain the students will look back with many fond memories
